 Since 1982, Peter Fisk and Bill McCarter have collaborated on the building and decoration of harpsichords in the Italian, Flemish and French traditions. Peter brings to the partnership a concern for fine craftsmanship, quality of sound and functional utility of the instruments. While attempting to maintain the general style of historical harpsichord decoration, Bill works extensively with each client as he develops motifs, layouts, and overall designs for their instrument. Our customers are invited to become a part of the collaboration between builder, artist and client. Owners of Fisk-McCarter instruments have expressed pleasure in living with instruments resulting from our collaborative creative process.While Peter Fisk and Bill McCarter enjoy working together, they also accept individual clients.
